INTERNATIONAL ANTHOLOGY
Call for Submissions
Mauro Montacchiesi announces the launch of an international poetry anthology to be published exclusively in the English language.
The initiative is organized independently by Mauro Montacchiesi and is promoted under the free cultural patronage of the International Academy of Rome, duly established and registered in Italy as a non-profit cultural association operating on a non-commercial basis.
The Academy grants exclusively moral and cultural patronage and does not manage, receive, or administer any financial proceeds related to the publication.
1. Purpose
The anthology aims to gather poetic voices from different cultural backgrounds into a single international volume in the English language.
The editor reserves the right to publish one or more volumes within the framework of the present anthology project, depending on the number and quality of submissions received.
2. Participation
Participation is:
Completely free of charge
Open to authors of any nationality aged 18 or older
Not subject to any purchase requirement
The free purchase of 1 copy would be appreciated, but not obligatory, to cover the costs and work performed
Subject to editorial selection at the sole discretion of the editor
No participation fee is required at any stage.
3. Submission Requirements
Authors are invited to submit the following materials in Word format to:

Required documents:
• One high-resolution photograph
• A curriculum vitae (maximum 30 lines)
• Three poems (maximum 36 lines each, title included)
The final title of the anthology will be determined after the selection process.
4. Editorial Structure
Each selected author will be introduced by an individual critical presentation written by Mauro Montacchiesi.
The volume will also include:
• A general Preface
• A general Afterword
5. Selection Process
Submissions will be evaluated exclusively by the editor.
The editor reserves the right to accept or decline submissions at his sole discretion.
The editor reserves the right to determine editorial criteria, structure, sequencing, graphic layout, and final organization of the volume or volumes.
Editorial revisions may be suggested in agreement with the author.
6. Copyright and Publication Rights
By submitting their work, authors grant Mauro Montacchiesi a non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish the submitted works solely within the present anthology and any related volumes published within the framework of this project.
Copyright remains the full property of the respective authors.
Authors retain the right to republish their work elsewhere, provided that first publication in this anthology is acknowledged.
Each author guarantees that the submitted material:
• Is original
• Does not infringe third-party rights
• Is not under exclusive contract elsewhere
Authors agree to indemnify and hold harmless the editor and the International Academy of Rome from any third-party claims arising from copyright infringement or other legal disputes.
7. Financial Terms
Participation does not entail any financial compensation.
The anthology will be published independently by Mauro Montacchiesi through international distribution platforms.
Any possible royalties deriving from sales of the volume or volumes shall belong exclusively to the publisher.
No royalties, remuneration, or compensation are owed to contributors.
By submitting their work, contributors expressly acknowledge and accept these financial conditions.
The International Academy of Rome does not receive, manage, or benefit from any financial proceeds related to the publication.
8. Legal Nature of the Initiative
This initiative does not constitute a prize competition, commercial contest, lottery, or public award.
No ranking, monetary prize, or award is foreseen.
The anthology is a cultural editorial project.
9. Privacy Notice
In accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Italian legislation, personal data will be processed exclusively for purposes related to the present initiative and will not be disclosed to third parties.

10. Deadline
Submission deadline: August 30, 2026 __________
Selected authors will receive formal notification of publication.
Submission of materials implies full acceptance of all the above terms and conditions.
